When you're at a distance, nothing's better than using video chat!
For this date, choose a movie or show to watch together through streaming services (or if money is tight, you can even watch something on sites like YouTube!) while doing a live video chat on something like Skype or Discord. (Hooray for free services!)
Once you've found what you want to watch, do your best to sync up when you both press play so you can be on the same page. There are some services available now that sync up automatically.
Be sure to mention your favorite and least enjoyed parts of whatever you watched together. Starting with what you liked gives a nice, positive experience, and following that with what you disliked helps the other person to better know you. Movies and shows are a great way to open up a discussion!
Valentine's Day at a distance? Yes!
Make sure to share street addresses for this date!
Each of you either buy card kits or gather some craft supplies for making cards, just like kids would!
Start a call on speaker or use a webcam to communicate. Being able to video chat is typically ideal, but this date can be fun with voices alone since it adds a surprise aspect!
Both of you gather your card making supplies and begin writing out Valentines for the other person. Talk about the process as you do it!
At the end of it, when your cards are filled out, mail them to the other person! Happy Valentine's Day!
