Have you ever camped out, loved it, and missed it in the colder months? That's not a problem with this date for married couples, as it can be done anytime of the year, no matter the weather!
Gather together sleeping bags, snacks, a good book and anything else that you might take out camping, then pick a room in your house to make camp with your sweetheart!
If you don't have sleeping bags, you can use lots of pillows and a comforter instead like we did!
The autumn weather is often cool and comfortable, with bugs at a minimum, making it perfect for a picnic!
How many picnics have you and your Honey been on? Well I’d say it’s time to add one to that!
A few things to keep in mind for the date:
A picnic in the fall where the leaves change color is a great sightseeing experience, and one way you can make this date extra special is picking out a leaf together after you eat. Choose a leaf that is thin and flat with low moisture and preserve it with a little note from each of you about the highlight of your date! (An easy method to preserve a leaf is placing it between some paper then setting heavy books on top and leaving it to dry, though you can look up other methods!)
Once your leaf is ready you can frame it with an overview of your date, or store it in a journal, scrapbook, or photo album.
Ready for autumn?
Why not go to a pumpkin patch?
You can go to the patch for a hayride, pop by some stands to look at fall decor, and enjoy whatever else they might have set up. You and your loved one can pick out pumpkins or gourds to carve or paint once you get back from the venture! What you carve or paint is completely up to you!
No patch? No problem! Lots of places have fall festivals, but even if those aren't an option where you live you can still go out together to stores and make a fall party for two! (They do sell pumpkins all over the place, after all!)
Make a list of activities you two might enjoy doing, such as
You can also take some beautiful photos together when the tree leaves change colors!
Have fun together this autumn!
